As the saying goes, you only get one chance to make a first impression. Your landing page may be the first thing potential customers encounter when they hear about you, your company or your product, and so it’s absolutely critical. This is especially true if you’re a startup or a small business, where often you don’t get a second chance.
Some companies do a truly phenomenal job with their landing pages. A landing page that’s been crafted beautifully, is uncluttered and that helps to show off the product or service well can reflect extremely well on the brand that it’s for. If you put all of your attention and focus into the product, but not into the landing page, then it can be hard to get the sales that you may otherwise deserve.
I wanted to write a post that showcased some of my favourite fresh, interesting and bold landing page designs that I think do a great job at putting the product in the spotlight. All of these examples make use of beautiful, creative design to show off the product, and I hope that this collection gives you some ideas around improvements you could make to your own landing pages. If you know of any other examples of stylish, bold and creative landing page designs, I’d love to hear about them in the comments section below. Read More

Logos that use gradients and shading have, historically, been avoided because they aren’t shown at their best when printed in black and white, but as the web has evolved and become used more and more by businesses (and especially with the emergence of companies that only operate online), shaded logos are coming back with a vengeance. Shading and gradients can add a depth to a logo, and can help to make the mark “pop” a bit more. It’s a very useful technique to be able to lift part of the logo off the page so that it doesn’t seem quite so flat – but it can be quite challenging to do it effectively and in a way that looks natural. We’ve brought together 30 examples of superbly crafted logos that make use of gradients & shading to improve and define the logo – hopefully this collection will inspire you with your next logo design. Simplicity is the key to effective and memorable logo design. Creating a logo design you should consider less is more rule and make your logo as simple as possible and creative enough at the same time. Perfect technique to achieve this effect is to use negative space which can help you to achieve brilliant results. Negative space may be most evident when the space around a subject, and not the subject itself, forms an interesting or artistically relevant shape, and such space is occasionally used to artistic effect as the “real” subject of an image.
Negative space logos are becoming the next trend in all kind of industries. For that reason I’ve collected 30 clever logo designs with negative space used. Hopefully you will find this collection entertaining as well as inspiring. Read More
